Our training contracts are generally offered to team members already employed in a paralegal role at the firm. We believe this gives us both the best opportunity to find out if the firm is right for you, and for you to become familiar with the way that we work, before you embark on the hands-on training contract that we offer.
To secure a training contract offer, you will need to demonstrate the key attributes of intellect, ambition, personality and commercial awareness in your paralegal position. Training contracts are usually offered within 12 months of a paralegal role and support will be offered to help you progress to the requisite level of ability.
We allow up to six months of paralegal experience with the firm to be taken into account in the training contract potentially reducing the length of a training contract from 24 to 18 months. Our training seats are typically four to six months long to enable our trainees to get experience across our range of legal work. Where possible, secondment opportunities are also available with some of our key clients or to other firms specialising in other practice areas.
Each of our seats is highly engaging and challenging; you will have direct client contact from the get-go and you will immediately become an intrinsic part of the team in which you are working. By the end, you will be confident that you are ready to transition to a newly qualified solicitor role.
