Rebecca advises clients on a range of commercial matters which includes collaboration agreements, supply agreements, outsourcing agreements, franchise agreements, distribution agreements, agency agreements and consumer contracts. She has a particular specialism in intellectual property and technology law and regularly advises clients on brand protection issues, commercially exploitation of intellectual property rights and software licensing arrangements. Rebecca is also experienced in advising on data protection law and assists a range of clients with their data protection practices and policies.
Rebecca joined Murrell Associates in January 2012, having previously worked as a solicitor at Foot Anstey LLP and as an in-house solicitor for the international disaster relief charity ShelterBox. Rebecca studied law at the University of Exeter and completed a diploma in European Private Law at the University of Salzburg.
In the 2020 Legal 500 guide, Rebecca was highlighted as a ‘Rising Star’ and a ‘Recommended Lawyer’. In the 2017 Legal 500 guide she was noted for her “keen eye for detail” and praised for her “style of communicating and level of IP knowledge”.
