Bristol law firm Murrell Associates has invested in new legal software to boost its growth plans.
Established in 2007, Murrell Associates offers specialist corporate and commercial legal services to businesses throughout the South West and beyond, and has been recognised as one of the most active legal advisers in the region’s mergers and acquisitions market.
The firm recently opened a second office in Clifton, in addition to its existing base in Truro. It has replaced its existing legal software and signed up to SOS Connect from Solicitors Own Software (SOS), for practice and matter management.
“Being a niche practice we were looking for a system that both reflected how we work and that would help us with our growth plans,” says managing director Hugh Murrell.
“Now that we have two offices there was a critical need for the firm to be able to access a more sophisticated IT system. SOS Connect will provide us with more management information and analysis. It will give us an increased level of sophistication, flexibility and efficiency in our mission to provide a credible alternative to the larger regional firms.”
David McNamara, managing director of SOS, said Murrell Associates was now undergoing a full data conversion with a view to going live with SOS Connect in the spring.
“Like other ambitious mid-tier law firms, Murrell Associates has opted for SOS Connect in the knowledge that it is sufficiently flexible and agile to be able to grow and adapt according to its evolving requirements.”
