Murrell Associates have recently advised the founder of Murray Technical Services Limited in relation to the acquisition by RSE (Ross-shire Engineering Limited) of a majority stake in the company.
Scottish headquartered engineering group RSE completed the acquisition of Southampton company M-Tech; an electrical engineering and installation contractor for the UK water industry.
The deal will see RSE take up a majority share in the business whilst retaining the key skills of the M-Tech Team.
RSE Managing Director, Allan Dallas, commented:
“M-Tech have a great reputation across the south of England for electrical installations and maintenance. The M-tech acquisition is a reaction to increased demand for RSE ser-vices in the south, and we are now pleased to bolster our skills-base and credentials in this region.”
M-Tech Managing Director Paul Murray welcomed the acquisition as a boost for the business’ growth ambitions:
“We have experienced year on year growth since incorporating the business in 2013. We felt the business needed the support of a larger partner to target the next phase of growth. RSE’s unique suite of products and capacity to deliver larger projects was a major attraction for our management.”
Henry Maples, Partner of Murrell Associates, who was lead legal adviser on the deal said:
“We are pleased to be able to support M-Tech through this transition to a new stage of development and we look forward to seeing the business grow.”
Paul Murray, M-Tech Founder and Managing Director, said:
“The transaction required a full understanding of the deal and a collaborative approach, Murrell Associates delivered on both. The work was on time and on budget.”
