Fresh on the back of being identified as one of two ‘Next Generation’ corporate lawyers in the West Country by the Legal 500, Murrell Associates are delighted to announce Senior Associate, Henry Maples, has become a Director at the firm.
Described in the Legal 500, a recognised independent guide to the best law firms, as ‘displaying a calm and considered approach that belies his age’ and being ‘more of a business partner than just a legal service provider,’ Maples’ promotion comes off the back of his work for Hub Box in multiple rounds of debt and equity investments, assisting London-based fintech start-up Jigsaw XYZ with corporate start up advice and, more recently, advising on the sale of Cornish manufacturer County Confectionery Limited to Scandinavian group Orkla ASA.
He commented: “I am very lucky to work for such a progressive firm, alongside some really talented lawyers and with great clients. It’s an exciting time for us as we grow and strengthen our offering and I am delighted to be playing a key role in that development.”
Murrell Associates received further praise in the Legal 500 with Rebecca Anforth, who heads up the firm’s IP offering, being described as a lawyer who ‘knows her stuff when it comes to IP and communicates in a simple way without legal jargon’.
After last month’s news, which saw highly-regarding employment law specialist, Melanie Rowe, join the Murrell Associates’ team, the firm are in a strong position moving towards 2019. Renowned for bringing a fresh, hands-on and valued approach to the work they undertake, they specialise in working with small and medium sized enterprises, providing them with a legal service tailored to their needs.
